Everything you want to know about how Sew Good Studio works — the shop, the makers, the fabrics, and your order.
About the Shop
Every dress on the site includes the name of the person who made it, the city where it was sewn, and the source of the fabric. That level of transparency is built into the product listing itself — not a separate sustainability page.
The shop rotates on an ongoing basis. New designers and new runs are added regularly, and sold-out items are retired. There's no fixed schedule — the collection reflects what our makers are producing at any given time.
Small-batch production means limited quantities by intention. Restocking would require makers to produce more than they planned, which conflicts with the low-waste model we're built around. When a run is done, it's done.
Size availability varies by maker and run. Each product listing includes the specific sizes available for that dress. We encourage our makers to offer a range, and many do — but we can't guarantee extended sizing across all listings.
The Makers & Fabrics
We review each designer's materials sourcing, production methods, and working conditions before listing their work. We look for makers who are transparent about their process, sew in their own studio or with a small team, and use low-impact fabrics.
You'll find organic cotton, TENCEL™ lyocell, deadstock textiles, recycled jersey, and natural linen among others. Each listing names the specific fabric and its source — no vague material descriptions.
Yes. Every designer we feature sews in the US, and every listing shows the specific city of production. We don't work with overseas manufacturers or outsourced production.
